Drinking alkaline water will not make your body more alkaline. And neither will ingesting water with baking soda added to it. Although these things can temporarily alter the pH level in your mouth (saliva) and upper parts of the digestive system, they won’t change your body’s chemistry on the cellular level--which is what you want to achieve.
What we must understand is that the human body is a carbon-based, organic organism. Hence, there’s only one dietary way to elevate alkalinity of the internal tissues and that is by increasing the consumption of carbon-based, organic fruits, herbs, vegetables, and certain seeds, as well as eliminating acid-forming 'foodstuffs.' Nothing man-made or inorganic (e.g., sodium bicarbonate [baking soda]) can effectively increase the alkalinity of the organs, glands, and fluids.
Although alkaline water and baking soda are "alkaline," because they lack organic minerals, they are unable to raise your body’s pH. On the other hand, even though foods like limes, tomatoes, plums, peaches, and oranges are acidic in their natural state, because they are replete with organic, alkaline minerals, they form alkalinity after going through the metabolic processes (digestion).
There are a plethora of illnesses that stem from acidosis, or, to put it simply, being overly acidic. This applies not only to conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, and cancer but also to nearly all autoimmune disorders, which most modern-day physicians don't know the cause/source of.
Acidity = heat and irritation (this produces inflammation and also leads to the formation of excess mucus). Acid literally burns the tissues of your liver, kidneys, spleen, colon, thyroid, pancreas, adrenals, brain, and connective tissues (joints, ligaments, muscles, skin, and tendons).
To promote balance and harmony within your body, you must leave the acid side and move towards the alkaline side of chemistry. You can begin this process right now by implementing lifestyle changes and specific therapeutic botanicals (herbs). |
